143 Million Pounds of Beef Recalled

The USDA announced a recall of 143million pounds of beef after a video emerged showing the abuse of animals that were too sick or injured to walk into the slaughterhouse on their own. Three employees were fired and charged with multiple crimes. Westland/Hallmark Meat Packing Company has a letter posted on their website and nothing else.

Isnt this like a large beef company to start with? Really nasty to think about. I always worry when something like this happens what if I have a tainted product already?

I had heard that by the timme they realized what was happening most of the tainted meat had already been consumed. Most of it was through fast food restaurants right? If you don't wat out often you really should not have much to be conderned about. It is really upsetting to me though because of the creulty of animals. The footage they show is very hard to watch.
