2 Wheel Bikes

What is the best way to teach a child how to ride a 2 wheel bike? I feel he is getting at the age to start learning.

Just put him on, give him a push, and watch him go. It's that simple. Practice on grass first.

That makes sense. I will also get him a helmet and a few pads.

My dad held the back of my bike when I learned. He promised he wouldn't let go. After I'd gone about 6 feet, he let go. I did fine til it dawned on my that he was wayyyyy behind me. That's when I fell. Still, I think it's probably the best way to learn. I would've never done it on my own if he had kept holding on.
