It is different not only with each woman but with each pregnancy. I went right up to 40 weeks with my oldest but then I had a preemie at 32 weeks, and the other two pregnancies went to 36 weeks.

My doctor told me anything after 36 weeks is ok and normal. Your baby is fully developed at 36 weeks and they gain weight every week after so going to 40 weeks just means you will have good birth weight.

It definitely varies!! All of mine were "late" (41 or 42 weeks) but they were healthy when they were born, so it wasn't like it was a problem (except that it's wearing to go over EVERY time!).
