Abnormal Finding on Brain? Ultrasound Mistakes, has it happened to you?
Between 7 weeks and 18 weeks I had several ultrasounds done that showed I had a subchorionic hemorrhage. At 18 weeks a spe******t looked at the ultrasound herself and said I had been misdiagnosed at all four of my previous ultrasounds and that the real diagnosis was a simple amniotic fold, that would NOT affect my baby. Now at 27 weeks I have had another ultrasound scan that showed a "shadow, or abnormal" finding on the fetal brain. They want me to have a special level 2 ultrasound but dont believe it could be a choroid plexus cyst because they would have appeared in previous scans. So this means it is either another mistake, or something very serious like a brain tumor.
Has anyone else ever experienced a mistake on their ultrasounds? I have been to 3 different clinics and this would mean out of ultrasounds 4 were "wrong". Anyone experienced finding a cyst this late (27-28 weeks) or similar?

Yes!
I haven't personally experienced mistakes with an ultrasound, but I have two friends who have. The doctors told them their babies had such serious problems that they should abort them. Both decided not to and their babies were born totally normal - no problems at all!
Best thing to do is ask doctor what they can do if the other ultrasound or tests show up positive. If the only thing is an abortion, tell them no thanks and just leave it in God's hands. He knows best!

My cousin was told that her baby had something wrong with his heart and she worried herself sick for months until he was born. He was born with a club foot and nothing wrong with his heart at all! How can they get it so wrong?

I was told that one of my daughter's kidneys were too small and unlikely to function. It turned out she was fine and just has a small but perfectly formed kidney that works well.
I really hope that your finding turns out to just be an error.

Medical mistakes and misdiagnosis' are so common. Try not to worry to much (I know, easier said than done). Let them do the next text if that will give peace of mind to you and if it is not too invasive. As Livingston said, don't let them try to force you into an abortion. Pray and let God do His work.
