I'm so glad to see so many who say "no way!" I have a friend who recently had a baby who had anencephaly. She knew from about 20 weeks, and she savored every bit of the remaining 20 weeks, as well as the precious 28 hours she had with her sweet baby daughter.

I'm solidly in the "no way" camp myself!! The only exception would be, as someone above noted, an ectopic pregnancy, since there is no way the baby would survive anyway.

That is so sad BUN, but I would have done the same thing. I am also happy that many people have responded the same way we do with 'no way'

I would say it would have to depend on what the problem is and if that would seriously inhibit the quality of life of my child. Also, I would get several different opinions. If it was something like Down Syndrome, no. I would keep the baby. If it was something more severe that would put the child in a vegetative state for the duration of its life, I might consider it.
