About chocolate
When I was pregnant with my first, my doctors told me I couldn't have chocolate. I guess it was because of the caffeine. Then with my second, the doctors told me chocolate was fine. It is interesting to note that my first son is not nearly the chocolate lover that my second and I are.
I'm just wondering what the doctors are saying these days? Is chocolate ok to eat or not?

I've never heard to not eat it. Thats odd. Lay off the caffeine yes, but never an out right don't eat it.
I didn't eat a lot when I was pg with my youngest, but he's a HUGE chocolate lover, lol.

Caffeine is bad yes. Try and limit the intake abit, though I have never heard of not eating chocolate.

Maybe the doctor was just trying to get back at me 'cause I wouldn't quit smoking.
Don't start on me, I know it was bad to smoke. But both my sons had good birth weights and great health.

Haha. My best friend was never told to not eat chocolate. And she would die if they told her to. The amount of caffeine in most chocolate shouldn't be enough to cause an issue unless you're shoveling it in all day, and then you've got bigger problems than caffeine. Cause you'll look like a pregnant cow. And the food pyramid already tells you to limit your intake of fats and sweets.

Completly understandable! Quitting smoking is a little hard to do. Working on that now.

I think its because the baby is sharing the food that you are eating. Although I'm not a mother, I have learned about this with cousin. The doctor told her not to eat too much sweets while she's pregnant but she's crazy about chocolates. So he eats a lot of them that it makes the baby big and ended up having a Caesarean birth instead of a normal birth.
