I have heard that you can still get pregnant after a tubal ligation. Does anyone know of anyone who got pregnant after a tubal ligation?

I wish. I had a tubal last year and I regret it now. My doctor told me that it's very, very rare these days because they no longer tie the tubes, they actually cut them. I guess it can still happen, but I think the odds are very much against it.

I actually heard someone in the last few weeks that did get pregnant after having their tubes tied. Now I am racking my brain trying to remember who it was.

It *can* happen, though it doesn't very often.

Tubal ligation can cause other problems, too, though. My sister-in-law chose NOT to get a tubal after doing some research and finding out that sometimes (often) the woman will have what is essentially permanent PMS!

Hrm, I have been healthy since my tubal but I do regret it now as well. I suppose with the odds being so low that it is just something I will have to learn how to cope with.

The procedure in the old days was reversible; but not now with the cutting of the tubes. If the tubes were cut I'm afraid that's it. If they were tied, you might be able to get your GYN to untie them.cf
