I loved it as a kid and so do all the kids around me now. The girls can be creeped out a little but its fun to make and easy for little ones to learn and follow recipes from.
5 stalks celery
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup raisins
Cut the celery stalks in half. Spread with peanut butter. Sprinkle with raisins.
I do this for my neice and nephew, but we use cream cheese instead of peanut butter because of the high risk of peanut allergies and the choking hazard. My boy gnaws at them, but can't chew celery yet.
Lol, goodness I have actually never heard of this but what a clever idea and fun thing to do. I will have to make a copy of this to make to see if mine will eat it.
I have always loved Ants on a log and I am honestly not that fond of peanut butter. It is a fun thing that kids can help make and it comes in great before friends of the little ones come over, so they can help to make it for their friends.
I liked ants on a log when I was a child, but the ants part I didn't care for. I remember getting in trouble for dipping my piece of celery into the peanut butter jar that everyone used. She wanted me to use a butter knife to get the butter, but it was just easier as a kid to dip it in there.
Oh, these are fun. We always used to do this when I taught pre-school, but I have never actually done it at home. I don't really like celery though so it's no wonder.
