Did any of the dad's go with you to your babies first appointment? My husband has made sure to be at all the doctor appointments leading up to birth and all after, I was just wondering if most new daddies do this or am I just lucky my husband wants to be so involved?

I will be going to every appointment I can make with my child that we are expecting. I go now and I do go to my step son's appointments so that will not change when this baby is born.

I did not go to my girls first appointments becuase my ex would make the appointments in the morning and I had to work. So it was not because I did not want. She said it was easier on her to get them up in the morning and go first thing.

My husband goes with me to all appointments - both my prenatals and the baby's visits. Of course, he is self-employed, so it does make it a little easier for him to do that.

Mine didn't go to any of the girls appointments when they were babies. I think it was mainly because they would get their shots. I wish he had been there because it was really hard on me to watch them cry.

I am lucky too. My husband went to the first appointment. Pretty soon it will be the next one, and I am hoping that he will be able to go. He is not too happy about seeing the baby get pinched when they put the vaccine.
