We went to a baby shower recently where both men and women were invited, and the mother and father were both there. We took a baby gift of course, but then we also took a gift for the mom & dad to be. It was just a restaurant gift certificate and an offer to babysit while they enjoyed a night out after the baby was born.

That's actually a good idea. I think I might do that for my next grandchild.

Thanks. We thought it was a pretty good idea. People think of the moms once in awhile, but they rarely include the dads when they're thinking of gifts.

I liked the idea of a money-tree. I sure hope I get that one .

Yeah, money-trees are always good. Maybe even giftcard trees. Or even a combination of both.

I never had a "baby shower" with either my 5yr old son, or my 8mo old girl. Son came 3 weeks early and girl was a day early. With the son, early surprised us and with our daughter we had family conflicting issues. Though her father did get a crib for his 30th birthday!!!

My favorite gift...
I just recently received a gift from "Momo Baby Gifts". It was one of my favorite things I've received -- cute personalized burp cloths, blanket and note cards.
It also came beautifully wrapped. It will definitely be my go to for my next baby gift!

So this is my first time posting here. I have been looking around the forum for some time now. I also have given some good baby gifts in the past.
If you are throwing a baby shower, this is a great baby shower center piece. Plus then the mother could use the center piece after the party. Very useful and cute!

Yeah. I guess diapers are great too! And you can even go for the larger size so the baby could still use them even if he/she is several months old already. Personalized Baby Gifts
