I've heard mixed opinions on the effects of caffeine on an unborn child. And, we all know, that once you're addicted you're gonna need your daily Starbucks fix. Will you give up all caffeine during your pregnancy, or at least try to cut back? Or do you think it won't hurt the baby?

I know things change with time but, with all three of my kids I drank my coffee and there were no ill effect on any of on them.

If you can give up caffeine, it's probably not a bad idea. I know many women have continued to have coffee and cola throughout pregnancy, but personally, I'd give up anything I thought would help.

Caffeine isn't good for you anyway. I think its best to cut it out of your diet whether you're expecting a baby or not. We were never big coffee drinkers anyway, so when we found out we were expecting we just completely cut out caffeine, and we didn't go back to it after the baby was born.
