My friend's mom is a nurse in an inner-city hospital. They have some very young girls, and some just plain uneducated girls having babies all the time. And they can choose some pretty odd names. Well, there was this one girl, who heard a word in the delivery room that she thought sounded "pretty". So, she left the hospital with a baby girl named Placenta. No, I'm not making that up. Seriously, it did happen.

No one even stopped her? That is kind of sad...:(

It would be a pretty name if it didn't have another meaning...:D

Surprisingly, nobody stopped her. Most of the babies born in that hospital are an income source. It's sad really. This baby probably was no different. My friends mom also told us about a woman in there to have yet another baby (she already had a bunch of kids). Her 12 year old daughter was there to visit her, and my friend's mom overheard the woman tell the 12 year old that it was about time she go out and get pregnant so she could start bringing some money into the house.
