Soon to be new granny here. And, since it's my first time in this situation, I'm anxious to jump in and help out. But I don't want to step on any toes along the way. Has anyone here ever had to tell their parent that they are overstepping their boundaries? Give me some clues here so I'll know what to do 3 months from now.
As a grandparent myself, I feel it is always good to give advice. But if you feel they are doing it wrong, I would say stay out.

I'm not a granny yet, but I remember when my mom would try to tell me how to do something. I would let her talk to her hearts content and then tell her that we'll just play it by ear and see what happens. It left things open where if something that she offered worked then so be it and she was happy, but if it didn't I tried it my way, we both learned something new.
