I was out at my sister's home. She lives out in the boonies. Nice and quiet out there and her nearest neighbor is 2 stones throw away. We were outside on the front porch when a stream of motorcyclists went riding by. Nice hogs, but there was one guy that had a baby strapped to his back in a baby carrier. They were going by fast, but not fast enough for me not to see the guy, baby and the set up.

The baby was under a year old and no helmet. All I could think was that if that rider wiped out....you fill in the blanks. I called the police to let them know what I saw and my concerns. They said that they would check up on it.

My sister, even though she was concerned, said that I had gone overboard with calling the police. I didn't think so and I still don't. What do you think? Should I have called the police? I was hoping that the police would be able to stop the rider and maybe get him and the baby off the road.

That is just scary! Did the baby at least have goggles on? I would have done the same thing. I hope the police did stop them. What was he thinking????

Dude, I would have called too. I do not think you went overboard. And if you hadn't and you'd seen it on the news that a baby crashed and died in a motorcycle accident later on you'd have felt guilty for the rest of your life.

My mama always told me to mind my own business. I'm sure that baby was just fine. I remember bringing my daughter home on my knee in the car. Now children are so coddled and protected it's no wonder that they lash out when they become adults. They have to act out and learn because they were so protected as babies. They have no clue what pain is yet.

I would have grabbed my cell, and popped into my car. I am against alot of things that drivers do when riding on a bike or in a car, since I was a passenger in a bad wreck afew years back. I would have tailed that jerk til the cops found us, ticketed him, then went merrily back home. :)
