I always used the baby shampoos, but I wasn't ever sure when to start using shampoos other than the baby stuff. About what age were yours when you decided to big people shampoo?

I never thought about that, but I guess when they are old enough to go to 1st grade. There's still a lot of shampoos out on the market that are for kids and then there's mild shampoos for adults like Ivory or Dove.

I think just about every shampoo has a mild brand. I also went for the shampoos that had a fragrance that I knew the kids would like. Now having my children's hair smell like watermelon sometimes, was a little too much for me.

never really thought about that either, I guess when my son started showering on his own he just kind of switched.

I don't think alot of people think about, from everyones reply (including mine), none of us did! I have used J & J shampoo with my son until he was 3, then he started (with his father, after we separated) to learn to do his own hair, I figure the first year my ex used J & J to be on the safe side, but I'm sure now that our son is five he uses more 'big boy' shampoos. :)

My girl is still only 8 months, so I think until I know she can manage to do her hair herself (years from now of course), we will stick with that.

I used Johnsons all over baby wash til he got to a point his hair was worse for that than better. Then I got him some yummy smelling honey/milk soap and let him pick his shampoo, I think it's pert for kids, smells like banana and strawberry.
