What was the first book your child read on his/her own? I think the first book they read from start to finish was The Hardy Boys. They loved those books.

If memory serves, it was "Green Eggs and Ham" by Dr. Seuss. I could be wrong, but I think that's what it was anyway.

OMG! My son got caught on The Little Red Hen. I read that to him every night before he went to bed. He would sit in a corner and try to remember it to read to me. Now I have it going around in my head now....sweet memories?

I got my sister a bunch of Doctor Seus books. I think they were some of the first books my sister had.

My sister gave us a huge box of baby books. So we are pretty well set with baby books.

A Curious George book of course. I still enjoy reading them so it works out when I read them to my son.

Oh yeah, my kids were big time into the TRU catalog as well, but it was more about the pictures than the actual reading. They loved to go through and circle everything they wanted. Donald Trump couldn't have afforded all those circles.

Gosh, my son loves the TRU Catalog also, but his favorite book right now is Horton Hears A Who.
