I was, both my parents were catholic, so it was a must. It also happened for my three when I had them all, their father was Baptist, and I swapped religions for him, and they were still all baptized. I thought only catholics had done this. I also got my confirmation and took my second middle name.

Anyone else? Do other religions baptize also?

I was never raised into a religious household. We were allowed to visit any church we wanted to, and make up our own minds. I don't think you should force baptism on another one before they have a chance to find the religious they want.

Many religions baptise, but not all at such a young age. My faith does not baptise until the person is of an age that they can understand what they are doing, what baptism means. They also have to request it themselves.

I was born to a mother catholic and a father that was methodist. My mother decided that I would be catholic. I was baptized, but I agree, I don't think that someone should have that done, without understanding exactly what it is for.

I was baptized, as the grandchild of Roman Catholics whose only daughter got married at town hall it was a concession. I never followed through with it because I don't necessarily think thats the road for me. I would never baptize my own children without their consent.
