What is your preference? Did/do you use a baby bath, or a bath seat for when they get a little older? Or did you bath them in the sink? What about the big bath?

I could not keep hold of my slippy, squirmy child from day one. The baby bath, with the sling ramp thing was just awful. I ended up using the big bath and having them in with me, from about three weeks old. For some reason, bathing them with me was way less slippy.

When I was given my foster daughter, I bathed her in a clean sink. No one ever used it so it was safe for me to bathe her in it. I did that until she turned two then I started washing her in the bathtub with me and now she wants to take showers by herself, it's so cute.

I used to use the sponge insert thing in the sink until they were too big. Then I used the regular tub. Using one of those teeny tubs just seems like another thing to deal with cleaning and storing out of the way.

If you have trouble 'holding' on you made the right choice! ha ha

I've always used the big tub, when they were tiny I laid a folded towel in the bottom. Also used to take bathes with the babys. My husband used to hear me hollar either, ''bring me a naked baby'' or ''come get a wet naked baby please" ....

Somehow I always managed to get us both in and out. When she was really tiny I laid her on a bouncy chair outside of the bath, got in, lifted her in. When she was big enough to hold her head up, I had her on my hip to get her in and then the same getting her out. I still do that now.

I don't understand how just being in their with them makes them less slippy.
