Has anyone ever gone camping with their baby. What age is a good age, what is too young? Do you sleep with your baby so they do not get too cold or do they sleep in their own blankets next to you? Any tips?

I haven't gone outdoor camping but I have had a camp setting when my son was about 14 mo, I slept with him close to keep him warm, that's after ensuring he had on enough warm clothes, no blankets.

I haven't camped either, but I wouldn't fear doing so. With appropriate equipment and with a parent nearby at all times so that they don't get cold I think it's fine. Yes, I think that the child should sleep with you as it's the only way to be sure they are warm enough.

I put my son to bed before I went to bed.... when I went in there I checked to makes sure if was warm enough. If he was i left him and if he felt a lil cold we'd bring him in our sleeping bags. If they aren't walking yet i'd reccomend bring a small dome tent for playing. It can be very restless for a child to not be able to crawl around.
I took my daughter camping when she was 9 months old and it was not much fun! I am not much of a camper so maybe I just wasn't prepared, but I didn't have a place where I could put her down and I was not OK with her crawling around the camp site!
My husband and I zipped our sleeping bags together and put her between us, so I know she stayed nice and warm.

We have been camping lots of times with our kids, they love camping. The youngest was when our daughter was 12 weeks. It's easier when they are premobile! It's hardest when they are not yet crawling, but want too, and once they can walk it is easier than the crawling stage, but they could wander off too.
