Is birth by cesarean section more painful than a vaginal birth? I always imagined it would hurt less, but then again, if it did, wouldn't they be doing cesareans all the time? I guess it's just one of those questions I've never really had anyone to ask until now.

I've had a C-Section and I'd have to say it's more painful and carries a longer healing time.

I watch a lot on TLC about this. Seems like there's far to may C-Sections going on this day and age. They should only be done if the baby and/or mom are in danger.
