There is a research about the effect of the music that a baby inside the womb can hear. It was said that classical music will help the baby develop better critical thinking skills when it is outside the world already. Is this true or just a promotion of classical music?

Haha, for it to be a promotion of classical music there'd have to be some kind of industry motivation. ;)
They just monitor brain waves, then do long term studies, on the things that happen when certain stimuli are presented. Classic music seems to have an honest real effect on people. And it honestly makes perfect sense. We all have music in us even as babies. And Classical music is something we can feel and hear and honestly, you can hear it's influence in some forms of metal.
It's a basic beautiful full sound. Some people don't like it, but I bet if you played it in their sleep they'd sleep better :D

Ooooh! I put headphones on my belly! Hehehehe! I could feel him kick at parts that got louder.
And you know what puts my handsome baby to sleep faster than anything else? Classical music! I think he got so used to it in the womb, that now when he's cranky, turn it on and he's instantly quiet, and generally asleep in just a few minutes.
For my son, I was a travel agent when pregnant with him, he was used to alot of noise (center over 100 people on avg.). With my girl I was already staying at home and becoming a "house wife", so it was quiet unless I made a ton of noise doing something or another.
After my son was born, he had no issues with noise, he could sleep through the vacuum. My girl on the other hand, hates the sound of anything loud and crashing.
Go figure.

I know when I was in high school there was a study done about how music played in the background while studying/doing homework could help you learn better and classical won there too. Any music without words was helpful but classical topped the list entirely. So it wouldn't surprise me at all. I always listened to music to help me sleep (still do) and while I'm just around the house and I write papers better while listening to music.
Anything, but a lot of rock come to think of it.

Could you elaborate more on what you are sharing there rose?
So what if we feed the fetus with rock and heavy music, what would happen to the baby? Would it become a rocker someday?
