It's coming up way too quick. Any ideas what the "toy of the season" is going to be? What will parents be spending quadruple the dollars on ebay for this year?

It's really hard to predict. I'd guess that Harry Potter related items would be high on the list for collectors of the young wizard's offerings after the frenzy over the last book in the series. We should start hearing pretty soon in the press what's going to be the biggie this year.

I know the movie The Golden Compass is coming out in November so I anticipate alot of polar bears and other related merchandise might sell well. The preview we saw on a movie we recently rented looked amazing. I would imagine Harry Potter and Pirates merchandise is also still selling well, and the new ipods/iphones will be on older kids lists.

I think with the DS now a lot of the time it's going to be DS educational games with my son. He enjoys his short times on the computer with me so I might get him a game or something like that. I have a DS myself so we'll have to see what happens.
