Do you let your children get creative in the kitchen? After they have been taught about kitchen safety, do you let them try their hand at making a meal?

My grandmother was a great cook. She taught me about everything that there was to being a good cook. She never made bread from scratch just biscuits, but I made homemade fresh bread that was to die for....lol My brother would grab a loaf and tear it in half and shove a stick of butter in it while it was still hot.

Well, it seems to run in my husband's family. His sister's son, and his brother's daughter are the future's next Bobby Flay and Rachael Ray. Hopefully our kids will inherit the cooking gene from their dad's side of the family instead of their mom's. Cause, I'm willing to admit it, mommy's not a very good cook.
