Did you have to deal with this with your little one? We were unfortunate and my child rapidly hit 13.7 bili level at just 36 hours old. She was threatened with hospitalisation (we were home very soon after birth) and bili lights.

The concern was that as high as she was at just 36 hours old, and with it set to rise for another four days, that she would hit the danger levels. I asked for 24 hours (still below danger level in theory) to bring it down.

We spent the next day sleeping in the sun and nursing every 90 minutes, droppering water into her mouth and so on. The next day her level was down to 13.5! I had only hoped to keep it from rising, and they said that that point just to keep doing what I was doing and the didn't want to see her again. Much relief!
