When trying to lose weight what is your preference-do you buy in a planned set of meals, or attend weightwatchers, or do you go it alone?
I never liked the idea of plans because when you come off them you gain it all back on.

I don't like anything that I know I can't stick with for the long haul. Eating mostly mean and dairy is great to lose the weight but not eating carbs isn't going to work for me. I like bread and crackers. I do like the idea of support at weight watchers but not the cost involved or the encouragement to eat "their meals" and such.
So I guess my answer would be go it alone, but not. There must be some good diet forums out there to help you get the support you need without joining a chain weight loss program.

The no carb diets seem really bad news to me. No diet that essentially works by starving the body of one of the substances that it needs can be sustained long term, and what about when you start eating carbs again, after the body hasn't had them for so long? Not only must the cravings be terrible, but I would imagine you would gain all the weight right back.
I have been dieting now for about seven weeks and have lost 16lb so far, so I am on track, but have to wonder if there is a better alternative.
