My husband has said this isn't something he wants to do let alone start. How do you feel about this subject?

From all I've read, the general consensus seems to be it's not a good idea to let your baby sleep in your bed. That will become their familiar surroundings (their comfort zone) and they won't be happy in their own bed. Its something I wouldn't do.

I would have to agree, I have two nephews who slept with their parents as babies, and still do. They are now 9 and 7 good thing they have a king size bed. They have tried several times to get them to sleep in their own beds and they still end up in theirs. Unless of course they decide to sleep on the floor in the living room.

The 7 year old will end up in my bed when he spends the night (I have to take him back to the couch). So I would definitely say that you should not get them into that habit.
