Gerber is always having great sales with coupons at stores. I know lots of moms that will stock up on food when its nice and cheap, but I've always worried I won't have what my kids will eat and will end up with varieties they might not like. Any tips for stocking up without getting stuck donating food your kids won't eat?

Baby foods can be used up in adult meals too, the nutritional content is just fine for adults too. You can use things like puréed vegetables work great in gravy, or soups, or as an ingredient in a pasta sauce. And fruits work just nicely poured on ice cream.

I had issues like this myself! I stock up at all sales, but mostly on clothes sales. I just bought $750 worth of Gymboree clothes for my daughter for $230!

I used to, if the brands on sale were the ones I buy. Why pay 60 cents a jar when I can coupon a sale for 32 cents a jar? I only bought flavours that I knew my daughter would eat. I'd only buy one or two of the new ones. I'd have times my cupboards were lined with baby food.

I have the worse weakness for Vanilla custard you've ever seen. If they ever discontinue it I will have to learn to cook it myself. :D

I never thought of using the veggies and fruits for myself though, wonder what type of ice cream topping the fruits would make...

There is a blueberry baby food that has a really strong, tart flavour. I am not kidding you, it is just the best thing on top of a good vanilla icecream. Gorgeous!
