Well 3 yo grandson is finally potty trained. Pretty much overnight. I would apologize to my daughter if it were not for the fact that she had been so rude to me a couple times, calling my opinions and comments "unwelcome" "degrading" and "downright rude". Who talks to their mother that way?

Things were just different in my day. We did NOT let a 3 year old boy cry because he was scared of the toilet. I beat my kids for refusing. She won't even spank her son. And if he cried at the toilet she let him have a diaper. How was I supposed to know that one day he'd suddenly ask to use the toilet and be 100% from that point forward. I'm not telling her, but there were so many ups and downs with my son. He wasn't 100% til middle school. She'd say it might be because I'd been so aggresive with him. I know my son. He just had problems. So she's not getting an apology. She owes me one first.

but, I'm so happy he's potty trained I had to share!

It is awesome the little one is trained now. Sometimes parents are too protected and lenient - I however am not. The reason it took so long for my son to be trained is b/c his father is a pushover and let him get away with anything (also, how my exes glasses were broken).

I think training my daughter will be easier, as her father has stated already: all she has to do is sit down. :)

Well that is how she trained her son. He sits. She says it's up to his dad to teach him to use a urinal where there are urinals to use, but there is no way he'll be standing in the house. His dad always sits in the house too. They both say it keeps things cleaner. I have to say I wish I had used a rule like that. I cleaned a lot of pee in my day.

As for being late, there are lots of kids past the age of 3 that aren't potty trained. It happens. I glad its done though. I bet she is excited.
