At how many weeks do you usually feel that first kick? Does it happen in the first trimester or after that?

It happens around 4-months. It's not really a kick, it's more like a flutter. When they kick, you want to kick back!
My daughter was all elbows later on. She would push with her elbows right in the middle of my stomach. I would gently apply some pressure, when I was smoothing out the "lump", to get her to move it elsewhere...lol

OMG DC...You had elbows in your stomach. My son liked to kick my ribs. It felt like he was trying to climb my ribs. All I can say is enjoy the days when all you feel is a flutter!

All right, y'all are scaring me. Do I really wanna sign up for this abuse only to have to spend the rest of my life worrying myself sick about every possible thing??? Yeah, I guess I do. :)

I started to feel Julian's kicks around 18 weeks. Very nice feeling...though I had to get used to something moving and kicking inside of me ;)
