My husband really wants to go back and visit his family in the Persian Gulf this January, and while I am excited to see his homeland (I've never been) the idea of spending soooo much time flying with the kids is freaking me out. It's like 22 hours total of flying! And I've never flown overseas.. I've heard the flights are nicer, but how will I manage my kids flying for that long?

How many kids do you have, and how old are they? There is no doubt that this will be hard on you all.

Are laptops allowed on the flight? Can you carry one and watch movies perhaps? Not an ideal solution I know but it can help. You will need to get them lots of exercise before the flight and try and have them sleep on the flight if you can-even if that means keeping them up the night before. That could help kill a chunk of the flight.
