What do your kids say that just make your eyes go wide and your hand cover your mouth in an attempt to stifle shock, laughter, or OMFG!!!
My son's dad and I live together, but we aren't "together". We have our own rooms, he has his own girlfriend, I have had a couple of my own boyfriends. When we broke up, we both just agreed that we both love our son more than life itself, we don't want to have a custody battle to damage our son and ourselves emotionally, and we don't want to have to "wait our turn" or make our son wait til the weekend for dad when he needs him NOW. So when he's older we'll probably split in to different homes, but for now he's not capable of understanding WHY daddy or mommy shouldn't be there for him as needed right now. All this background just to tell you we fought a lot before we broke up. We tried to keep it not in front of our son, but he still caught bits of it. We almost never fight NOW by the way. Haha, things are fantastic! We make GREAT friends, horrible horrible romantic partners.
So anyway, one day his (my ex) girlfriend came over and they were in his room, doing whatever (things I wish they'd do when our son was asleep) and my boy kept running down the hall to bang on his dad's door. When I went back to get him and started putting up a gate to the hall to keep him from doing it again, he got past me one more time, pounded the door and yelled "EFFIN THOMAS" except he didn't say effing, he said the actual 4 letter plus ing. His dad goes by Tom, the only time you ever hear anyone say Thomas is when I'm mad at him. I busted out laughing. Couldn't help it. Just sat down and laughed with tears going down my face. I could hear my ex's girlfriend suddenly start howling with laughter too.
Then the random things he says, like anytime I start with the "warning" voice he'll be like "Jeeeze mom, just calm down, ok? Just calm down." hehehe Which I have to stop laughing at. I really do. It just encourages him to misbehave so he can say it when he starts to get in trouble...
