Gerber issues organic baby food recall

Gerber is recalling two of its organic baby cereal products because of a possible choking hazard.
The baby food company posted word of the nationwide voluntary recall for its organic rice and oatmeal cereals to its Web site Saturday. In a press release, it said that it had received choking complaints, but there were no reported injuries.
Lumps of cereal in some 8-ounce boxes may not dissolve in water or milk, the company said.
Customers who bought cereal (with UPC codes of 15000 12504 for rice and 15000 12502 for oatmeal on boxes' bottom right sides) should call the Gerber Parents Resource Center at 800-443-7237 or 231-928-3000 to return it and receive a full refund.
