My short nickname is Mimi (me-me), short for Missy, which is short for Melissa. No idea how the nickname happened, but I am stuck with it, so I gave in and just use it now. Besides amoeba (a tiny creature if you didn't know), I got that nickname in high school, from someone I used to call Treetop (he was taller than me, and was the one that nicked me amoeba).
