Our first baby son is coming up to 5 months old and we are currently looking at high chairs. We love the Tripp Trapp by Stokke but our budget won't stretch to one. I have seen 2 other similar looking wooden chairs, which are a lot cheaper than the Tripp Trapp;one by Baby Dan , and another by East Coast. Problem is I have never seen one apart from on the internet and don't know anyone who has one. Would like some more info / advice about them before buying. Can anyone help? :) Cheers xx
Have you tried searching for those particular high chairs at websites that have customer reviews? Sites like Amazon for instance. Also, you might try epinions.com or comsumer reports to see if they might have some information on any of the chairs you've mentioned.

Have you tried ebay? Sometimes you can run into a really good deal on ebay. You might be able to get the Tripp Trapp for the same price you're considering for one of the generic ones.

Whatever highchair that you decide on I would say that you should make sure that the highchair has some weight to it. My brother and sister used the one that I had when I was a baby. It was all wooden and heavy.
The ones today are just to lite. A childs weight just isn't enough to balance out the weight of the thin legged ones.

Highchairs can be just as much hassle to choose from as a new car can be. I'd let someone else pick it out. Less hassle...lol
