My wife first took a pregnancy test when she wasn't feeling well, as suggested by her mother. We then scheduled a doctors appointment about 3-6 days later to confirm it. It was really suprising and made me happy.

It has always been a doctors visit and has always been a suprise.

A missed period and an E.P.T. If only breaking the news to everybody else was that easy.

My menses has never been even close to normal. Maybe TMI but both times I knew right away, the same way - the chest area hurt. :D Like I had been run over with a steam roller or something. Good indicator. With my son in 2001, I took a test, then went to the doctors to confirm. With my girl last year, I took a test, called my husband and told him to "Google" something ("The rabbit is dead"), he got the point right away! :)

Well, I found out I was pregnant because we'd had an accident on his dad's birthday, and when my period was late I took one. And oh yes, that little accident is 3 years old, and the most beautiful thing ever.

From a few people that I know that ended up getting pregneat, such as my mom's-boyfriend's-son's-fiancee started getting a lot of cramps and stomach pains now and then.

Well, when I found out my spouse was pregnant, I got really mad at him for not telling me he was a woman and for sleeping around. *LOL*

Just kidding. I knew as soon as I missed a period. I was always regular as a clock.

First time was when after eating one of her favorite foods, my wife started a serious bout of vomiting. That raised her suspicions and she went to the doc for a test. The other times, she missed her period and then did the test.

I puked in his plate. I said, "My bad! By the way, I'm with child."

I was peeing a lot and when I went out, it wasn't much, plus I was feeling a little giddy at times. I knew something was different wth my body.

The first time I was young and waited until 4 months although I knew before that. I have always been regular and clued in quickly. My others I was trying so after the one week wait after the missed period, I took the test. I show a very faint at the one week mark, you can barely see it. I usually take another home test at the two weeks after mark, just to make sure. The missed period is the only way I know. I have no morning sickness or any other signs either.

My boyfriend and I started trying for a baby in July of last year and figured that it would take a little while to conceive since I'd been on birth control for almost 7 years. I thought I was in October because I was 10 days late, but ended up starting my period on the 30th; however, was about 16 days late in November and woke up one morning with the feeling that I was pregnant. I took a home test and it came back positive and then went to my doctor and they did a urine test and it came back positive.

I went and bought a pacifier that said 'I love Daddy' on it and a tiny gift bag and took it home after class that night and just handed it to my boyfriend without saying a word. When he opened it and realized what it meant, he was soooo thrilled! And even more so once we found out the baby's a boy (he's already got 2 girls from his previous marriage)!
