My parents are so going to overreact when I tell them I'm pregnant. I just found out today and haven't had the guts to tell them yet. Is there anything I can say to them to make them a little less hysterical? Were any of you guys teen moms? If so, maybe you can tell me how you told your parents.

Well I told them. Mom cried, dad yelled. They really over-reacted. Then mom says "I'm not raising another kid". Nobody asked her to. Then they found out I'd only done a home test so mom called and got me an appointment for tomorrow for a real test. I've never seen them this angry with me. And I get the feeling they're going to try to make me get rid of it. Can they do that?
I'm so sorry they took the news so badly. I'm sure they will settle down once the shock factor is gone.
I don't know what they can make you do about your baby. Check the laws in your State to see what your rights are.
I still agree with Lily in your introduction post. Raising a baby at any age is a hard 24/7 job. At 16 it's going to be even harder.
Where's the father? Is he going to take na active roll in raising the child?
