There are some teenagers and young adults at a church I attend, they seem very vulnerable to things that are happening around them. At times I feel helpless beacuse I can do so much and no more, but I definitely want the best for them.

I normally like to see that they are included in things. Involvement and showing them that someone does actually care about them is normally a good start to convincing them to stay safe.

Obviously making them feel wanted, and encouraging them to take part in church-based activities should help. Besides that, be there for as much support as they will allow you to give.

Does your church have some type of teen group they could attend? These work quite well for many teens in my area.

I guess it all backs down to how the child was reared up. If the parents have trained these young adults to decide on what is right or what is wrong then they would have second thoughts of the things they will do.
I myself have these problems when I was young, church is boring while friends doing bad things is more exciting. But I was lucky that my family didn't turn their backs on me and still guided me on the right path.
