As if a new mother doesn't already have enough to do, there's the additional loads of laundry. Not only the addition of baby clothes, but all the additional clothes mommy and daddy go through from being puked, pooped, and peed on.

So, how many extra loads are you doing now?

OMG! I had tons of laundry and I didn't have a washer or dryer. Every week it was a regular trip to the laundry mat with two kids and dad in tow. Besides the laundry being loaded up in the car, there was the toys, the snacks, the bottles, the cups, and the diaper bags.

Dad would help unload all the laundry and one kid and whatever that kid had to have with them. He would take the other kid to run the errands, like grocery or pharmacy stuff. Sometimes he would stop off to visit with a friend or neighbor.

I would usually get left with the one that was still in a infant seat or stroller. For awhile it wasn't too bad, but once they learned how to climb out of the stroller it was just a lot of extra running around. The only time that I got to make sure that the one that I was left with was in one place was when I was getting ready to fold the clothes. I would plop them on the table in the middle of a mountain of clothes and get them to help me put the clothes away. You know dad and I would actually fight over which kid we wanted to stay with us? Dad would usually get the one that was less maintenance...lol

I don't think that it increased all that much. Ya, we had accidents, but clothes have to be washed anyhow. Baby's clothes, blankets and sheets are a small load. Now if you're washing diapers also that's a big increase!

Its not really that bad. My son has tons of clothes so we usually do them in loads once a week.

It is a whole lot larger with twins. But we are managing just fine :).
