I heard they don't get sick until daycare, is this true?

It depends when they get exposed to sicknesses. They can always get ear infections.

IMO there's no set time. If exposed to the germs they will get sick. :(

And do you Doctor remember being sick or hearing stories of your younger self? No matter what we do, unless they are kept in a sterile bubble, our children will get sick. The reason the immune system is around is to learn from surroundings to avoid further sickness, is this not correct?

My son was sick within 24hrs while STILL in the hospital. :( We had to stay an extra few days (10) because of it.

They never did figure out what was wrong with him. Just spiked a temp.

A baby can get sick before it's born, and not make it to birth. They can get sick in the hospital, they can get sick when they get home, they can get sick at any time, just like anyone else.

The only difference is what kind of sicknesses they have. Babies come with a whole slew of their own dangers as their bodies adjust to life outside the womb, taking in food a whole new way, and their bodies are still developing. Then of course if you expose them to the flu or something, you risk them getting the flu. It's important to take care with a newborn, baby, toddler, and up. But they can get sick from day 1.
