I love telling my baby stories.

My first, I was 17 and living with my dad. All day I had a backache. First it was mild, then it kept getting stronger and stronger. It didn't go away, no waves, just a major backache. I went in at 5:30pm and was 5 cm. I refused any drugs and delivered at 9:48pm, 12 hours from the start.

My second, I went pee at 11:30pm, and got up, the first thought was "I must not have finished." It took a few seconds to realize it was my water that broke, well a trickle. I went downstairs and played computer and an hour later felt the first contraction. Back labour again. I let hubby sleep until 2 am, woke him up and told him he wasn't going to work today. He didn't clue in right away. Called dad at 3 to watch my oldest. We got to the hospital at about 5. Again, refused drugs, and she was born at 8:10am, just under 8 hours from the first contraction.

My son was a stubborn one. My dad was over from across the country. He came in July and left at the end of August. He planned his trip because my other two were 4 and 5 days early so I assumed my last would be too. I was 4 cm dialated for 2 weeks and decided that if by Monday, 8 days over, I didn;t go into labour I would have my waters broke. Monday evening at 6 I had them broke. 8:30 I went into labour. He was out by 12:04am. 3 and a half hours. Again back labour. Again no drugs. I love the feeling of release after a drug free birth. It can't be topped.

I'm done having kids but if I did have more, I'd have to camp out in the hospital parking lot LOL.

Oh I totally agree with you. When it's all over you just feel so good-I have no idea how it would feel to give birth to your little one and not be able to have full enjoyment of it because you are working drugs out of your system.

Seems like you are a natural at it mama!

I always have been to an extent. It's just become more important to me as the years have gone on. I figure, we've done great for generations without so many of these "advancements" why risk changing that?
