At what age do children start interacting? Are there any games near or after birth that the baby might be interested in?

At first, your baby is going to spend a lot of time sleeping and eating, as thats what newborns do. Gradually, your child should start playing with pretty much whatever it can get its hands on.

At first, its mostly just giving the child something to hold and look at and to keep its focus.

All babies are not alike. Some will start interecting with objects early on while others will take a little longer. As stated for the most part new borns are going to spend a good deal of their time sleeping.

As a followup, this links should provide you with some ways to interact with your newborn baby:

In my opinion, although it'll take awhile for them to respond to you, you should try to interact with your baby as early as possible. Talk to the baby, play music for the baby, sing to the baby, and read to the baby, even while they're in the womb. And continue doing that after they're born. I believe the more you communicate with them, the sooner they'll interact with you.

I think Lily hit the nail on the head. Sing to the baby. From the minute you find out you're expecting, until they're old enough to tell you to shut up.

Which, depending on your voice, could end up being baby's first words. ha ha
