How do you deal with jealousy issues in your children. If one thinks you're paying more attention to another one, or when one of them gets a gift and the other one doesn't? Does it usually cause a lot of problems?

Jealousy, to a point, is a good thing. A kid has to go through it at least once before you can teach them why they shouldn't be jealous. It takes awhile, but they usually get it.

I am not sure if it was a case of pure sibling jealousy or rivalry. My 2nd and 3rd children, both were at one another's necks until they were both over 18. One boy one girl, one big mess. I can not think of a time span more than a week when they were younger they did not fight like cat and dog! There were alot of groundings dealt out in our household when they were little, now they are older and get along like nothing was ever bad. Sometimes kids I swear, I have no idea what they are thinking - really should have came with an instruction manual!!
