I remember the time when my son was about 4 years old and he disappeared from the living room and had gone suspiciously quiet. I'd have investigated sooner except that we had visitors - the minister and his wife.
I soon discovered what my son had been up to. He came back into the living room clutching a box of condoms and had one hanging from his mouth - bad enough, but his asking the minister to "blow up the balloon" for him was just too much! :o

That story is hillarious!
Yes they can be so embarrasing but I guess what is so beautiful about that story is just the pure innocence of a child.
It's amazing :)

That is just too funny! I'll bet you guys kept the condoms locked up or beyond reach after that. What did your minister and his wife say? That beats my most embarrassing kid moment hands down. The worst was when my middle daughter yelled out in church (during silent prayer time) "look, mommy, big truck" and pointed out the window. This would have been fine if she could pronounce the "tr" sound but unfortunately she put a "f" sound instead.
I discovered my new neighbor was a police officer and I went on to tell my mom about it. My 4 year old was listening and anxious to know what we were talking about. I told him our new neighbor was a police officer and left it at that, while my mom went on about being afraid to drive in and out of the parking from my building because she had gotten her license taken away for speeding. So...the next day, my son yells at me from the balcony and me being busy cleaning up ignored his whining. Until he said "it's the police mami!!" at which point I dropped everything and ran outside. I got to the balcony and sure enough saw our friendly neighbor cop in uniform looking dead at us... the worst is yet to come.
My son went on and on about how he wanted mama(his grandma) to drive up so the officer could arrest her for not having a license and take her to jail with the other bad guys. All while saying "right mami that's what mama said that she had no license! Right police you are going to take my grandma away?!! Right?!!"
It wouldn't have been too bad if my neighbor had a sense of humor but he didn't!
Hey guys, I am really cracking up from all of those stories, you just have to be so careful around kids and sometimes even when you are, they still do the darnest things.

Oh wow, I would have died!
The worst thing my little girl has thus far said was in private. I was clipping her toenails, and she said she wanted to cut mine. I told her mine were thicker and stronger, harder to cut, and that unless I washed my feet first probably smelled a bit cheesy ;)
She said; "But mummy, I want to cut the cheese".
She had no idea why I went myself laughing.
Not from my own that much but I do remember a time another mother was a little on the blushing side. I was getting my nails done and even though some have a cut off age for breastfeeding this mother did not. Here toddler came up to me, grabbed at me and went "hungry". Since I was sitting at the front of the place, with the mother close by (she was getting her nails done and I was waiting) everyone turned around to see. I told the little boy that mine don't give food and he should go see his Mama.
This was a good eight years before I became a mother myself. ;)
Oh my goodness! That is too much. My daughter broke into the condoms once too, but I only found out when I found a couple in her toybox. She thought they were balloons as well (she was about 4 at the time, I think). I would have died if she'd brought them out when we had company!
