People just don't have them anymore. Everywhere I go people have their elbows on the table, no napkin on their clothes, eat with their mouths open. They don't really open doors for others anymore or let women or elderly pass/sit first.

What happened? Are you teaching your kids manners or is it just not a consideration anymore? Please and thank you are rare also. I just don't understand what happened to manners.

Well, my son says please, thank you, and all that fun stuff.

But you'd probably hate eating with me. I'm totally elbows on table. I stick my tongue out at my son while I have chewed food in my mouth. Shoot, *I* taught him how to *pull my finger*.

He does eat with napkins on him, cause he's messy. But I don't think I ever learned *proper* table manners. I wouldn't know, but sometimes I think it's more of a "class you were born in to" thing. They show "debutant" thing or whatever it's called in movies where you go to classes for manners. They never had classes like that in elementary or high school! But I went to public schools. And goodness knows there's no public grants for them. My parent's could never afford something like that. It might be nice for me to know how people are supposed to act, but I doubt I'd practice much... I am totally just the least ladylike woman you'll ever meet.
