I wanted to get an idea of anyone that gives their little ones any type of meds not prescribed. Something OTC like Tylenol or Ibuprofen. I cant give my children the latter as I worry they will be allergic to it just like me. So if you don't give them one of the two above what do you give them, do you worry about it since many people are saying anyone under 5 shouldn't taken pain relievers?

I try not to ever give meds but there are times they are needed. If there is a fever associated with pain then no, I won't give meds and instead will find another way to make the kid comfortable. If it is pain and pain alone-say from teething, then I may give ibuprofen to facilitate sleep.

I do not have my own children but I firmly believe that with correct diet and nutrition that children should be fairly healthy. My boyfriend was always given antibiotics and OTC meds when he was a baby and now has severe candida because of it.

There is a large difference between healthy and fairly healthy. Many are told that you need to leave a fever alone, that it is there for a reason. When I was growing up and we had them, we had to "sweat it out" and it broke on its on.
