Morning Sickness. It ranks right up there with the most toughest type of flu there could be. I felt miserable before I realized that I was pregnant with my first.
Everyone kept telling me that it would only last thru the 1st trimester. I had it thru the 2nd. I had people tell me to eat crackers. It'll help. To this day I can't eat saltines. I tell waitresses in not to include crackers if I order a soup or a salad.
My Dr. prescribed a anti-nausea medicine. It was in a dark liquid form and as soon as I tried to swallow it, it just wouldn't stay down. I was feeling so tired all the time. I couldn't do anything or go anywhere. It made me afraid that there was something with the baby and if there wasn't then I was causing the baby harm.
I had a friend that was into healthy living and swore by a couple of things that got her through morning sickness. She had me eat a high-protein snack before I went to bed at night and to eat the same type in the morning before I even sat up in bed. She said that a pregnant women's blood sugar goes off the chart. Some can tolerate. I couldn't.
I would eat the protein bars that were out on the market then. I kept them by my bed. If I got up at night, which I did frequently, I would eat a bar before I got back in bed. I would eat a high protein breakfast, lunch and dinner with snacks in the middle. I still had nausea, but I was keeping what I was eating down.
Just thought that this might help anyone who is having a bad bought with morning sickness. Discuss it with your Dr. before you try it though.
