View Full Version : Most Embaressing Moment

We've all had them with our kids. They do or say something in mixed company or out in public. My son caused us the most time consuming and embaressing moment that we had to go through.

He stuffed a penny up his nose. He came walking into our bedromm and just as calmly as he could told his father and I that he had a penny stuck up in his nose.

At first we thought it was another one of his corny, attention getting jokes of his, but he started crying. We both jumped up and sure enough the penny was lodged in his right nostral, way up near the bridge.

We tried to get him to blow his nose, didn't work. We tried tweezers, but they wearn't long enough. We took him to the ER. The Dr.'s and the nurses were all trying to keep a straight face, but I knew they were about to lose it. He was so serious when he told him that he was trying to save money. I never wanted to figure out his line of reasoning on that one.

The forceps that he needed were not in the ER. They had to order it up from main supply. It took 4 hours. Meanwhile, he was getting antsy and said that he could breath alright so he wanted to go home. He eventually fell asleep.

While he was asleep, the forceps were finally delivered to the ER. The Dr came in and found him asleep and very slowly inserted the forceps up his nose and brought the penny out. Then my son wakes up and wanted to know when the penny was going to come out. He was very surprised when the Dr. showed him that it was aleady done.

Yep, my son wanted to keep the penny and BTW he did this on Lincoln's birthday....lol

My cousin's little girl was about 4 when they moved into their new house. The lady next door had a little boy about the same age. The kids played together all the time but the moms didn't really know each other all that well until Michelle (my cousin's little girl) gave Robby (the little boy next door) a hickey on his neck. My cousin was so outdone when her neighbor knocked on her door to discuss what had happened. It was truly her most embarrassing moment with her first child. Funny thing is the two moms ended up becoming best friends after that.

We had a backyard with a privacy fencing. In the summer, when it was real hot and all the air conditioning just wasn't doing a thing, I use too let my two strip and swim in the wading pool.

Well, they both were invited to a backyard birthday party. The mom of the birthday boy had a wading pool also. All the parents were either on the side of the house or up on the deck outback. The kids were having a great time. I had stepped inside for something and got in a conversation with another mom.

All of a sudden I heard everyone laughing, I mean the "Oh my" laugh and I just knew it meant that I had better go outside. WELL, it seems as if my daughter had gotten every kid to take their bathing suits off and swim the buff. She was in the pool, just all bright and shiney and saying "Look mommie, I told you I didn't need my bathing suit!"

Not that bad, we were in Macy's and there were some glass decorations on display and my 3 year old broke 3 of them. There happend to be a lot of people around and we got a lot of stares.

My friend's little girl announced very loudly to the cashier at Walmart (and the long line that was waiting behind us) "my mommy's not wearing panties". The line kinda giggled, and the cashier tried to just ignore it and move on. Well, the child assumed this meant she hadn't heart her so she said even louder "my mommy's not wearing panties, are you?" My friend turned a bright shade of red. I laughed til I cried.

The very few and far between times I would take my son out, even though I never breastfed with him, he was always grabbing at the chest. :D :D :D
He did this, not only for me, but any female that held him. I remember after being a car wreck in 2003, he was about 10 months old (not in wreck with me), I am going to my physical therapy, and he is being held by the receptionist and just grabbing and pulling and being a goof ball. Sadly, this was going on, I found out after the fact - while I was in the back with the doctor, and I walk out to an entirely packed waiting room and hear many giggles.

My most embarassing moment was people looking at my chest, I looked down and realized for the first time that I was going to need breast pads for a while. Milk leakage. lol
