Since now they are on tv as well, do you always follow the guidelines by the people that to the PG, PG13 and so on for tv and movies? Does it always just depend on the child's maturity level? I ask as when I sit for others, I always follow it, but my parents never did.

I remember when I was a kid my mom always told me I couldn't watch Married With Children because it was an adult show. I don't think it was too bad though, especially compared to some of the stuff kids watch these days. I normally stay within reason when I am watching other people's kids, but plenty of them have the parental control chips so its already set to only allow the shows they want the kids to watch.

It is always advisable that parents should watch with the children if the shows/movies are watching with a PG or PG13 rating. Some cartoons like SouthPark have dialogues that are not good for the children to listen because they imitate very fast. Even Harry Potter should be watch with the parents because there are some scenes that are not suitable for the children to watch.
