I was just talking to a friend. She has twin daughters (12 now) and we got to talking about nursing. She was telling me how it shocked her doctor that she didn't plan to suppliment with formula. She explained to him that she was making enough and he couldn't believe it. He was shocked that the human body could produce enough for two.

I guess even now, many doctors think you can't make enough for two. I've heard so many times that people were told to suppliment from birth with twins, because "your body can't possibly keep up". Even with singletons. When will they learn to leave to nature what is natural. Demand leads to supply. Decrease the demand and you decrease the supply.

And she nursed them to 14 months. She weaned because she was tired of always being hungry LOL. She was eating more than double shat she usually ate. So if there's anyone out there that think you can't nurse twins, take this story to heart. If you want to, you can.
