It happens. Some babies just plump up a little more than others do. So, what do you do in that case? I can't logically think it's okay to put a baby on a diet. Do you just keep doing what you're doing and hope they outgrow it? This occured to me after seeing the video of that 200 pound 4 year old. The problem had to have started really early for her to reach that weight at the age of 4. I was just curious to see what others thought.

That's an awfully extreme example, Lily. Most children don't ever get there. If your child if active, he's going to outgrow any baby weight. If there's a problem, his pediatrician will bring it up with you at a well-baby or other visit and tell you what steps to take.

My son is just like that. He just looks like a big balloon. He mainly eats and sleeps.
